Responsible Person Aircraft

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy, based at Lanseria International Airport.

The main objective of the position is to supply serviceable aircraft to charter and aircraft owners and to perform the maintenance oversight on all managed aircraft and aircraft on the AOC.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance activities conform to regulations CAR Parts 43 and 145


• Liaise with SACAA and other international authorities with regards to all aircraft maintenance matters


• Assisting with the import and export of aircraft in all aspects


• Managing the relationships with all sub-contracted AMO’s


• Monitoring flight time accumulating and scheduled maintenance activities and maintenance oversight on all aircraft operated on Part 121 and 135 AOC and managed aircraft


• Assist with all ad hoc duties as assigned by the relevant manager

Educational

• Grade 12


• Aviation related trade (preferable)


• Have necessary qualifications for Person Responsible Aircraft in terms of SACAA


• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


• Driver’s License

Experience

• 4 Years’ experience in aircraft maintenance management and/or planning


• Have necessary qualifications for Person Responsible Aircraft in terms of SACAA – I have moved this to educational


• 5 Years’ aviation-related experience


• 2 Years’ experience in dealing with SACAA, negotiating and management of contracts


• Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations and guidance material


• Knowledge and understanding of MEL’s, AMP’s, NAV, RVSM, CAMP
