Restaurant General Manager

As the Restaurant General Manager for our upcoming signature restaurant at Mount Nelson, you will be responsible for maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and excellence goals. To Ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Our new signature restaurant, offers an immersive marine dining experience, transporting guests into the mysterious beauty and biodiversity of the surrounding Two Oceans. Open 5 days a week, with set off days being Sunday and Monday, launching in Quarter 4 2025.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations, as well as provide strategic direction.
• Be an effective member of the leadership team, driving and delivering on overall performance objectives, such as, but not limited to, sales and profit targets, EBITDA target, guest satisfaction target and employee satisfaction target.
• Responsible for updating and implementing departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

What You Bring:

• 8 years + experience in restaurant general management experience in a luxury environment or similar.
• Previous experience and exposure to setting up a signature restaurant/brand.
• Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment
• ·Knowledge on food costs, expense control and a good financial understanding required.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of general restaurant operations.
