RIGGER

Duties & Responsibilities
Heavy Lifting operations – safely assess requirements and execute specialised rigging. Calculating safe lifting angles, radii and loads for mobile cranes, forklift and overhead cranes.
Be able to compile complex lift plans
Excellent knowledge of lifting and rigging safety requirements
Equipment maintenance – Inspect and colour code all lifting gear (slings, shackles, chains, eyebolts0) in compliance with SAQA and mine safety standards
Conduct legal pre-use inspections on lifting tackle
Keep accurate registers
Complete permits
Must be willing to work overtime
