Job Description - RSM/Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

Based on the requirements for a senior-level position for FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or Sundries sales, the job description typically focuses on strategic leadership, distributor management, and high-volume target achievement..

Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional/national volume and value targets.

Distributor Management: Manage, evaluate, and expand the distributor and retail network, ensuring optimal stock levels (primary and secondary sales).

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large team of Area Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and Sales Officers.

Market Coverage & Expansion: Drive product placement in general trade, modern trade, and specialized, high-margin retail outlets (Sundries/Cosmetics).

Trade Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing teams to implement consumer promotions, merchandising standards, and NPD (New Product Development) launches.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and optimize sales processes.

Financial Control: Manage sales budgets, P&L (Profit & Loss) for the region, and ensure healthy debt collection from distributors

Market Analysis: Understanding market needs and competitor activities.
