· Prepare and review annual
financial statements in compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
· Perform monthly accounting functions including journals, reconciliations, and management reports.
· Complete tax calculations and submissions for
individuals, companies, and trusts (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax,
etc.).
· Handle CIPC submissions and compliance (annual returns, company changes, etc.).
· Liaise with clients, SARS, and other regulatory bodies.
· Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy,
efficiency, and compliance.
· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for
clients.
· Provide guidance and support to trainee
accountants and clerks.
· Keep up to date with legislative and
regulatory changes in accounting and tax.

· Minimum of 2–4 years’
post-articles experience
· Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and relevant tax legislation.
· Experience with accounting software (e.g.,
CaseWare, Pastel, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
