Job Description - Sales Consultant - Coffee Industry Denver

Position Title: Sales Consultant - Coffee Industry


Location: Denver


Salary: Basic, plus attractive commission uncapped, Petrol card (capped R5000), and cell phone allowance


(First three months incentive commission)


OR A salary of about R30 can be split into salary and commission-based, or just a CTC salary.


Job Overview:


  • Develop and execute strategies to promote our coffee equipment offerings to businesses, cafes, restaurants, and other relevant establishments.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and customer preferences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including coffee roasters, distributors, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Understand the technical aspects of commercial coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and related accessories.
  • Provide training and demonstrations to clients and staff on proper equipment usage, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Address inquiries, concerns, and special requests from clients regarding coffee equipment.
  • Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking activities to expand our reach.
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, flavor profiles, and equipment.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and adapt to changing market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:


Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the coffee industry.


Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients.


Demonstrate products and provide detailed knowledge about different coffee machines and coffee blends.


Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective client engagement and sales strategies.


Provide high-level technical support and advice, particularly in coffee machine mechanics.


Collaborate with back-of-house operations in commercial kitchens to enhance product placement and use.


Prepare detailed quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.


Work closely with the management team to strategise and report on sales activities and potential growth.


Minimum Requirements:


At least 3 years of sales experience, specifically within the coffee industry or related fields.


Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.


Matric qualification or higher.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
