Exciting Sales Engineer Role – Drive Growth in Industrial Gas & Liquid Analysis
Are you a technical specialist ready to break into sales, or an experienced salesperson in industrial analysers looking for your next opportunity? Join a market -leading organisation in industrial automation, delivering advanced gas and liquid measurement solutions across key industries. Based in Sandton, this Sales Engineer role focuses on technical sales and customer development within the Gas Measurement division.
Sales Growth & Strategy: Achieve revenue and gross margin targets across projects, MRO product sales, services, and service level agreements. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
Customer Development: Identify customer needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions. Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with existing accounts while actively prospecting for new business.
Account & CRM Management: Support strategic account development across customer tiers. Maintain accurate CRM data, track opportunities, and follow up on quotes and leads.
Proposal & Delivery Management: Ensure proposals are technically and commercially sound. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate seamless order processing, handovers, and delivery follow -through.
Sales Process & Efficiency: Lead continuous improvement initiatives in sales process execution, supporting global standards and local lean practices.
Product & Technical Support: Maintain expert -level product knowledge and provide support in both pre - and post -sales stages. Continuously upskill through internal and external training.
Qualification: Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation and Automation
3–5 years’ experience working with analytical equipment:
Gas analysers preferred, but candidates with liquid analyser experience will be considered
Ideally with experience on process line equipment, though lab -based experience may also be considered
Either:
Proven experience in technical sales of gas and/or liquid analysers into heavy industry, or
A technical specialist with deep equipment knowledge, looking to transition into a commercial sales role
Valid Driver’s License
Experienced in Using ERP and CRM tools (e.g. SAP, Salesforce)
