The company sells various products and services within defined geographic areas, provinces, or countries. It operates with a leadership structure that includes a Managing Director and a Group Chief Executive Officer.


The Role: Sales Manager


The purpose of this role is to direct and manage a sales team as well as the sales of the company's products and services within an assigned geographic area, province, country, or product line. The focus is on ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel, while identifying objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.


Key Responsibilities




  • Manages an assigned geographic sales team and area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.




  • Collaborates with the Managing Director to establish realistic sales goals, develop sales strategies to improve market share, and control budgets for promotion and trade show expenses.




  • Establishes and manages programs to compensate, coach, appraise, train, and educate sales personnel.




  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with the Managing Director.




  • Forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams accurately while developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth.




  • Formulates all sales policies, practices, and procedures across the company.




  • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top decision-makers and key account support.




  • Holds regular meetings with sales staff, reviews expenses, and provides quarterly results assessments of productivity.




About You




  • Experience in directing and managing a sales team and sales of products and services.




  • Ability to accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.




  • Skill in collaborating with executive leadership, including a Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer.




  • Ability to develop specific plans for revenue growth, establish sales policies, and manage promotional budgets.




  • Competency in coaching, training, appraising, and educating sales personnel on presentation and competitive strategies.




  • Capability to perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiate sales pricing and discounts.
