VACANCY: TSU PROTECTION SERVICES – SECURITY SITE MANAGER STELLENBOSCH W-CAPE

We are looking for an experienced Security Site Manager to join our team at one of our TSU Guarding sites, Stellenbosch, W-Cape. Objective:
To set and supply guidelines and standards for managers to ensure the effective execution of their duties as per set agreement between parties. Ensure adherence to TSU policies and standards.
Scope:
To ensure TSU render a satisfactory and professional services on site.
Main Purpose of the Appointment:
To ensure the smooth running of daily operations within the designated area of business; in such a manner as to ensure the continuous provision of a professional security service that meets the requirements of the relevant customers.
Requirements and Experience:
• Tertiary Diploma in Security Management or equivalent will be an advantage
• PSIRA registered Grade A
• Matric Grade 12
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ Managerial experience as a Site Manger in the Security Industry
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Computer literate and strong report writing skills
• Strong planning, leadership and organizational skills
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Experience in investigations and Report writing
• Clean credit and criminal record
• Solid track record of managing security officers and dealing with discipline and conflict management
• Ability to communicate effectively with Executives
Strong personal initiative and integrity, with ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance
• Discretion and ability to handle confidential information/matters sensitively
• Proven collaboration skills – can lead internal/external multi-functional teams and meet externally driven deadlines despite multiple priorities.
• Be accountable for the implementation, monitoring and compliance of the TSU Group’s Security policies, systems, procedures and standards.
Responsibilities:
A. You will assist the Contract Manager in managing and supervising all Security Staff and security activities on the site:
1. Manage the smooth day-to-day running of the relevant sites/contracts to ensure profitability.
2. Peruse/ check all registers on a daily basis and sign it off. Occurrence Books must be signed when visiting sites.
3. All Site Instructions and Booklets to be perused/checked and signed by all staff.
4. Measurement of Customer Service Standards to be completed on a daily basis.
5. Ensure that the Site Inventory is used during any formal handing & taking over shifts on all sites.
6. Ensure that site inspections are done on every site for all staff during shift changes to ensure all are briefed, correctly dressed/equipped and ready for the shift.
7. Ensure that pay queries are attended to and that correct the payments are made to security officers.
B. Manage the work schedules of direct reports to meet agreed plans, contracts and agreements in a cost-effective manner:
1. Ensure that his Head Count on site is in line with the Contract Schedule.
2. Ensure that a yearly leave schedule is in place and that the leave balances are under control.
3. Ensure that all leave applications have been processed and submitted as per leave schedule in advance for the upcoming cycle.
4. Ensure that all movement forms have been completed correctly and submitted to Easy Roster.
5. Ensure that all pay queries have been processed and submitted in time for further processing.
6. Ensure reductions in pay queries month on month.
7. Ensure that the duty rosters are prepared in time and delivered to the Security Officers on site.
8. Ensure security officers are posted on sites according to the customer agreements/contracts.
9. The Manager must check the Attendance Registers, all Officers shall book on duty on Onsite when reporting and after completing a shift.
10. Authorize the necessary time sheets on a monthly basis.
11. Analyse the Onsite system to allocate manpower, over and under postings and rectify any anomalies.
C. Customer Liaison:
1. Customer complaints/ instructions/requests to be resolved within 24 Hours.
D. Ensure Site Instructions, emergency plans, registers and files are in place according to Customer and Company requirements:
1. Will ensure that all Compliance files are updated and in place.
2. Ensure Site Instructions and emergency plans are adhered to by the Security Officers and Supervisors.
3. Site Instructions must be reviewed, quarterly any instruction that was issued and applicable for three months and more must form part of your SOP/Job Description for the applicable function, post or site.
4. The customer must approve site Instructions annually.
5. Ensure that the correct registers and files are placed on site and maintained.
E. Ensure all Company assets are accounted for, properly handled, safeguarded and maintained:
1. Ensure that monthly equipment checks/ audits are conducted to ensure it is in good working order.
2. Monthly reports to be forwarded to the relevant logistics/ TSU Administrator and Contract Manager.
3. Redundant equipment needs to be sent to the logistics department with a justifiable note on damages so that a disposable note can be completed before removal from the Inventory List/register.
F. Ensure that the following Policies and Procedures are well communicated and enforced on site:
1. Searches - Ensure adherence to TSU Protection Services Procedures.
2. Alcohol Testing & Submission of Disciplinary Document Procedure - Ensure adherence to TSU Protection Services Procedure.
3. Arrest, Search & Seizure Procedure - Ensure adherence to TSU Protection Services Procedure.
4. Emergency Procedure - Mandatory Code of Practice for Emergency Preparedness and Response.
