Senior Accountant

An opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end UK-compliant accounts, lead client relationships, and mentor junior team members and UK-based apprentices.

Cape Town, South Africa | Office-based | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM UK time with a 1-hour paid lunch break | R65,000 – R78,000+ per month, based on experience

THE ROLE: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Senior Accountant will prepare end-to-end UK-compliant accounts, directly manage client relationships and use commercial acumen to identify service expansion opportunities.

The role also involves providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and UK-based apprentices during weekly calls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare end-to-end UK-compliant accounts.


• Apply UK GAAP, FRS 105 and FRS 102 standards for SMEs.


• Manage client relationships directly.


• Use commercial acumen to identify service expansion opportunities.


• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.


• Mentor UK-based apprentices during weekly calls.

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum 2.5–3 years post-qualification experience is essential, with 3–5 years post-qualification experience preferred.


• Deep understanding and expertise in UK GAAP, FRS 105 and FRS 102 standards for SMEs.


• Proven end-to-end accounting capability.


• Strong client-facing skills.


• Demonstrated track record in client-facing management and commercial growth.


• Mentorship and coaching capabilities for junior team members.
