We're Hiring: Experienced Bookkeeper | Multi-Entity Role

Are you a meticulous, proactive, and driven bookkeeper looking for your next big challenge? Our client—an industry-leading signage company with over 30 years of excellence—is seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper to join their growing team.

This is more than just a finance role. You’ll be managing the full financial function across four operating businesses (combined turnover of R26 million) and five property entities, each contributing to a diversified and exciting group structure.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Multi-Entity Bookkeeping:

• Take charge of all bookkeeping functions across 9 separate entities.
  

• Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records in Pastel Partner.
  

Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations:

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across several business and property accounts.
  

Trial Balance & Financial Oversight:

• Manage books to trial balance stage.
  

• Handle allocation of invoices, payments, and transactions for both debtors and creditors.
  

Cash Flow & Payments:

• Monitor and forecast cash flow.
  

• Process payments on Nedbank and FNB online platforms.
  

Statutory & Compliance Duties:

• Oversee VAT, PAYE, COIDA, and Bargaining Council submissions in conjunction with auditors.
  

Intercompany Transactions:

• Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and payments.
  

Stock & Inventory:

• Capture inventory transactions and oversee regular stock takes.
  

Payroll & HR Support:

• Liaise with outsourced payroll providers.
  

• Assist the MD with timesheets and coordinate with labour lawyers on HR matters.
  

Fleet & Credit Card Reconciliations:

• Match fleet card usage and fuel statements.
  

• Reconcile multiple company credit card transactions.
  

Petty Cash Management:

• Supervise petty cash processes across various business units.
  

Clerk Supervision & Document Management:

• Oversee a junior debtors/creditors clerk.
  

• Ensure accurate filing of all source documents (physical and electronic).
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Pastel Partner proficiency (Pastel Manufacturing experience is advantageous—training can be provided).
  

• Outstanding attention to detail and a structured, system-oriented mindset.
  

• Proven ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines independently.
  

• Effective communicator and natural problem solver.
  

• Integrity and accuracy in handling confidential financial and HR-related tasks.
  

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
