Senior Draughtsman

An established engineering firm in Alberton is looking for a Senior Draughtsman to take full ownership of their drawing system. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on structure, precision, and technical excellence.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining the full drawing system
  

• Leading Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with technical insight
  

• Supporting RFQs by reviewing specs, materials, and tolerances
  

• Creating 3D models from customer samples
  

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  
• Draughting Certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  
• Strong understanding of drawing standards - ISO, GD&T etc.
  
• Proven experience with drawing control and revision management
  
• Hands-on, technically accurate and quality-focused
  
• Able to model 3D components from customer samples when required (CAD experience)
  
• Strong understanding of machining and fabrication processes
