Senior Drupal Engineer | Cape Town

TransPerfect is seeking a Senior Drupal Engineer/Architect with deep expertise in site architecture, theming, and the design and maintenance of component-based design systems. This role will support complex content systems and enterprise-grade implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Drupal architecture for modular, scalable content platforms

• Develop custom modules and plugins, integrate APIs, and manage configurations

• Define and maintain front-end component libraries tied to brand and UX standards

• Contribute to design system governance and UI consistency across platforms

• Collaborate with UX, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery

• 7–12+ years of Drupal development experience

• Expert in Drupal 9/10, Twig, Composer, Symfony, and decoupled architecture

• Experience with design system tools (e.g., Storybook) and frontend frameworks

• Hands-on with SCSS, BEM, Tailwind, Webpack, Docker, and CI/CD

• Strong collaborative skills across design, engineering, and product teams
