Senior Finance Business Partner (Financial Services)

A highly reputable South African financial services group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner within their Financial Services Department.

Position Overview:

The main purpose of this position is to provide financial insights, knowledge, and expertise to the departments of the group to ensure commercially sound decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in stakeholder engagements, maintaining strategic relationships with critical stakeholders .
• Provide financial expertise to the group’s departments to ensure accurate accounting and budgeting .
• Contribute to subcommittees by offering financial expertise and analysis .
• Provide financial expertise and knowledge to ensure that new international financial reporting standards are correctly applied .
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports on capital and operational expenditures .
• Drive the adoption of new financial accounting systems and processes .
• Lead subordinates with set, achievable objectives, and targets.
• Keep abreast with new developments in financial accounting standards .
• Propose and implement the refinement and continuous improvement of systems, tools, controls, methods, and processes .

To be considered for this position, one must have:

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience , of which at least 5 years must be in a Finance Business Partnering role .
• Knowledge and skill in: Finance Project Management , Cost Accounting , Financial Reconciliation , Financial Analysis and Reporting , Financial Forecasting and Budgeting , Fixed and/or Moveable Asset Management , Function-specific Information Systems .
