About the role:

Malander is seeking an immediately available Senior Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with solid experience across management accounts, payroll, and statutory compliance, who is comfortable taking ownership in a deadline-driven environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective management of day-to-day financial operations.

Key responsibilities:​​​​

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary


• Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution


• Oversee VAT and tax submissions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements


• Perform reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records


• Handle company secretarial duties, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations


• Assist with month-end and year-end processes


• Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders where required


• Contribute to process improvements and general finance operations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role


• Strong experience in management accounts, payroll, and VAT/tax


• Exposure to company secretarial duties


• High attention to detail with strong reconciliation skills


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines


• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance


• SAIPA qualification advantageous


• Immediate availability is non-negotiable

Preferred Experience

• Experience with financial analysis and reporting.


• Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.


• Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools.
