Senior Manager: Supplier Social Compliance - Western CapeFull job descriptionKey Responsibilities:Social and Ethical Compliance:Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive social and ethical compliance programs and risk management strategies for various sourcing regionsManage audit and assessment programmes to identify and mitigate compliance risksEnsure all operations adhere to local, national, and international regulations and standardsOversee the management of all corrective action plansPrepare detailed reports on compliance status and present findings to senior managementCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote ethical practices and corporate social responsibility initiativesStay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards related to social and ethical compliance.Continuously evaluate and improve compliance programs to enhance effectiveness and efficiencyQuality Compliance:Oversee the development and implementation of quality control strategies and proceduresEnsure that products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectationsAnalyse quality control data and implement continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with production and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrenceLeadership and Collaboration:Provide strategic direction and leadership, guidance, training, and performance evaluations to the compliance and quality control teamsFoster a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence within the organizationAct as a liaison between senior management and compliance/quality control teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goalsRepresent the company in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory bodiesEstablish and maintain contracts with Service Providers to ensure TFG Compliance and QC procedures and protocols remain relevant and are upheldDevelop and provide relevant reports for senior management and external stakeholders.Requirements:Completed tertiary qualification in Quality and or Compliance Management (consumer goods manufacturing eg : clothing, footwear, homeware) or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in social and ethical compliance and/or quality control, with at least 3 years in a managerial roleIn-depth knowledge of local, national, and international compliance standards and regulationsProven experience in developing and implementing compliance and quality control programsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levelsCertification in compliance and/or quality management is a plusCompetencies and behaviours for success:Plans and Aligns - develops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectivesStrategic Mindset - thinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisationBalances Stakeholders - effectively considers the diverse needs of various stakeholdersCommunicates Effectively - conveys information and communicates ideas in a clear, concise and impactful mannerEnsures Accountability - takes accountability and ensures others are held to account on agreed upon performance targetsFinancial Acumen - understands and applies financial concepts and principles to make informed financial decisionsDrives Vision and Purpose - communicates a clear and inspiring purpose and vision that engages peopleManages Complexity - interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problemsPreference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.#LI-PM1
