Location: Rosebank

The Senior Specialist IM Security Assurance provides support to pre-emptively identify vulnerabilities that weaken the overall security posture of a network/environment/solution. This is typically achieved through two key activities: Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests (Penetration Tests may consist of web application testing or testing of the network infrastructure).

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Manage, develop and conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments and management programs on networks, applications, and systems.
• Identifies and resolves false positive findings in vulnerability assessment results.
• Performs reconnaissance and information collection on the target environment or attack surface
• Identifies potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities on assets (i.e., end points, applications, users)
• Validates weaknesses via exploitation, and reports their findings
• Identify, analyze, and report on security vulnerabilities and risks.
• Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure coding practices, while developing security application and secure infrastructure services.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Provide guidance and training on penetration testing and vulnerability management to staff.

• An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree/Diploma or equivalent) in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.    
• It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.

Certifications

• Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence
• Security Certification (e.g. OSCP, OSCE, CEH, GIAC, GPEN, CISSP)        
• Registration with professional bodies (Desirable)

Experience

• 5 – 7 years working experience in a similar role

Technical Knowledge

• Experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on penetration testing and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of security assessment tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical skills.
