The role will support and enable the Organisational Effectiveness \u0026 Change strategy through identifying and leading the development and implementation of OE projects and initiatives that will include, amongst others, organisation design and diagnosis, data analytics, organisation effectiveness \u0026 efficiency, maintenance of organisational job architecture as well as change and cultural transformation.\n\nThe incumbent will be required to partner and share expert knowledge and best practice with various internal stakeholders such as HRBPs, line executives and OE leads in the Vodacom OpCo\u2019s.\n\n## Your responsibilities will include:\n\n * Working closely with functional leaders, executive leaders, HRBPs (and OpCo OE leads and HRDs, where relevant) to align functions to the business strategy through proactive and continuous diagnosis of organisational effectiveness, organisational sizing and implementing sustainable organisational improvements\n * Support company-wide digital transformation projects as well as business unit specific change and transformation initiatives through effective macro level organisation design\n * In partnership with the relevant HRBP/HRD, develop and drive a continuous efficiency agenda for defined business areas by assessing and improving OE metrics such as average span, deepest layers, management ratios, employment costs and other metrics.\n * Shape and influence future thinking around organisational operating models and design, ways of working, efficiency and managing change by drawing best practice from Vodafone Group teams and external market sources.\n * Drive simplification and reduce duplication of activities \u0026 processes within defined business environments by sustainably re-focussing resources to new revenue streams and/or strategic enablers through detailed analysis.\n * Create a strong and effective partnering relationship with the relevant HRBP(s) and the wider Vodacom/Vodafone OE Community to add business value by enabling the HR priorities.\n * Support HRBPs with effective workforce planning through monitoring permanent and contractor employment costs/headcount\n * Contribute to innovative approaches to projects and initiatives, effective problem solving as well as a culture of new idea generation, calculated risk taking and knowledge sharing.\n\n\n\n## The ideal candidate for this role will have: \n\n * BCom degree in Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management, or related field (essential)\n * Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or related field (advantageous)\n\n\n\n## Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:\n\n * 5-8 years relevant work experience with proven exposure to organisational effectiveness (organisation design \u0026 operating models), and organisation efficiency\n * Proven exposure to business restructuring, transformation and people change initiatives (incl. working with senior business leaders)\n * Knowledge and exposure to agile organisation design and methodology\n * Understanding and experience of workforce planning (headcount \u0026 employment cost)\n * Theoretical understand and working knowledge of job architecture methodology\n * Good understanding of job evaluation methodology (e.g. Paterson, Hay System, Willis Towers Watson\u2019s Global Grading System)\n * A good understanding of change management frameworks and experience in developing change management plans.\n * Strong relationship building and partnering skills\n * Good understanding of Telco businesses and operating at a tactical level across multiple business and geographies\n * Strong learning agility and curiosity \n\n\n\n## We make an impact by offering:\n\n * Enticing incentive programs and competitive benefit packages\n * Retirement funds, risk benefits, and medical aid benefits\n * Cell phone and data benefits, advantages fibre connection discounts, and exclusive staff discounts offered in collaboration with partner companies\n\n\n\n \nClosing date for Applications: 16 April 2026 \n\n \nThe base location for this role is Midrand or Cape Town \n\n \nThe company\u0027s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
