SEO Copywriter – Content & EEAT Specialist
Must Be based in Cape Town
We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Copywriter with a strong
understanding of SEO and EEAT principles. This role is ideal for a commercially minded
content professional who can produce high -quality, search -optimised content that builds
authority, drives traffic, and supports business growth across eCommerce and service -led
websites.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write high -quality, engaging, and SEO -friendly content, including product descriptions,
category pages, landing pages, and blog posts.
Apply EEAT principles (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) to establish credibility
in all content.
Conduct keyword research and strategically integrate semantic keywords, long -tail phrases,
and LSI terms.
Optimize content for AI -driven search, voice search, and featured snippets.
Collaborate with the SEO Manager to ensure content aligns with overall SEO strategy and
business objectives.
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital platforms.
Review and update existing content to improve performance, user engagement, and search
visibility.
Incorporate multimedia elements (images, videos, infographics) effectively into content to
enhance user experience.
Skills & Expertise:
Proven experience writing for eCommerce, service, or B2B websites, particularly product
descriptions and blog content.
Strong understanding of SEO content optimization, semantic search, and content relevance
to user intent.
Experience using AI content tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, etc.) and integrating them
effectively with human -written content.
Ability to write for multiple buyer personas and stages of the sales funnel.
Knowledge of content structure, including headings, metadata, internal linking, and
multimedia integration.
Strong research skills and ability to cite authoritative sources when needed.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Shopify, or Magento.
Attention to detail, excellent grammar, and polished writing style.
Optional / Nice -to -Have:
Experience with content performance analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console).
Basic knowledge of HTML for formatting content in CMS.
Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
