INTRODUCTION

Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a Service Section Manager with 6 years work experience and 2 years being in a supervisory position.This specialised diagnostic level leadership position in the mining and construction/OEM indusrty supervises a workshop with more than two Foreman, SHE and Field Service at our Kolomela Site. The incumbent is requred to have a trade certificate or a 3 year diploma and a matric or N3 qualification with a sound technical experience of Komatsu products or HEM used in mining/contruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric/N3. (Compulsary)


• Trade and/or Technical Diploma (3 years). (Compulsary)

• 6 years' experience.


• 2 years supervisory experience.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Stays abreast of parts re-calls and reads service bulletins and technical information to keep updated.


• Maintenance planning, Technical management in the field or workshop.


• Authorises job/ work order costs (including overtime).


• Checks creditor invoices, authorises and obtains approval for payment.


• Checks the quality of machine inspections.


• Controls and monitors the asset register.


• Monitors and checks customer satisfaction, quality and safety adherence, problems and issues.


• Authorises the ordering of parts and equipment.


• Checks that warranty claims are procesed correctly according to contractual agreements/ policy


• Adheres to and monitors adherence to financial Policies and Procedures.


• Monitors vehicle fleet - costs, usage, fuel, branding and image, drivers, licenses and fines.


• Oversees and checks that systems data is correct and up-to-date.


• Provides feedback to product support/ Branch Management on technical issues/ problems and warranty information.


• Assists in the follow-up of outstanding debtors.


• Resolves issues regarding the physical depot in conjuction with branch management.


• Drafts financial reports vs budgets.


• Resolves financial issues and queries.


• Reports on warranty claims.
