About Our Client The client operates in engineering implementation and project systems. The company requires a technician to supervise on-site contractors and ensure compliance with industry standards. The organisation structure involves reporting directly to a Director.

The Role: Service Technician (HVAC) The purpose of this role is to function as a vital support structure for the engineering implementation of systems at a project level and manage subsequent system servicing for clients. The focus areas include project commissioning, technical service scheduling, client relations, on-site operations management, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Utilise a minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician with expertise in wiring, controls, instrumentation, and technical fault finding.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage allocated service plans and plan project commissioning with engineering teams and project supervisors.

  
  


• 
  

  Arrange technical service appointments and liaise with customers to manage expectations.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise on-site contractors and closely manage work quality, standards, and project timeframes.

  
  


• 
  

  Direct safety management protocols and ensure execution strictly in accordance with SANS and SAIRAC standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in weekly meetings and conduct thorough post-mortems on completed service intervals and project phases.

  
  


• 
  

  Apply specialised experience in Industrial Process and HVAC systems.

  
  

About You

• 
  

  Minimum of 5 years of experience as a service technician.

  
  


• 
  

  Matric certificate paired with a valid Trade Certificate as an Electrician.

  
  


• 
  

  Valid Code 08 driver's licence and fluent in English.

  
  


• 
  

  Completed training in instrumentation and controls alongside computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages.

  
  


• 
  

  Self-motivated, hardworking, efficient, proactive, and willing to learn.

  
  


• 
  

  Trade Certificate specifically as an HVAC / Refrigeration Technician and proficiency in Afrikaans.

  
  


• 
  

  Technical diploma in instrumentation and controls with practical industrial installation experience.
