Our client, an established industrial manufacturing company, is seeking a SHEQ Manager to lead, develop and maintain its Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable legislation, standards and company requirements while supporting effective SHEQ practices across the operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SHEQ requirements across the operation.


• Capture production information on cloud platform and monitor data updates required for LTQ submissions.


• Create, review and update procedures, work instructions and related operational documentation.


• Obtain and capture monthly data required to monitor compliance with ISO objectives.


• Coordinate the calibration of monitoring and measuring instruments.


• Manage internal ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 audits and oversee the follow-up and close-out of non-conformities.


• Conduct internal SHE audits to verify compliance with ISO, legal and other applicable requirements.


• Monitor shop-floor SHE compliance and the application of Risk Management and Management of Change procedures and processes.


• Manage contractor safety requirements.


• Conduct site and SHE inductions for visitors and contractors as required and maintain SHEQ communication information.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.


• ISO 9001 certification.


• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.


• Experience implementing legal compliance requirements.


• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency is compulsory.


• Relevant SHEQ Diploma or Degree is advantageous.


• ISO/IEC 17025:2017 knowledge or certification is advantageous.


• Strong document creation and document-control capability.


• Proven managerial skills.


• Ability to work accurately, solve problems and communicate effectively in a demanding operational environment.
