Job Description - Snr Project Manager - data, technical with extensive retail IT experience

Overview:

A highly experienced Senior Project Manager is sought with a strong background in retail technology and data -driven initiatives to lead the delivery of large -scale IT projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing complex technical implementations within retail environments and a proven ability to drive projects from initiation through to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large -scale retail IT and data -related projects across multiple business and technical teams.

• Drive end -to -end project delivery, including planning, execution, governance, risk management, and reporting.

• Manage implementation and delivery of complex enterprise retail systems and technology initiatives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, vendors, and senior leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and resource allocation.

• Establish and maintain project governance structures and ensure adherence to delivery methodologies and standards.

• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented.

• Coordinate data -related initiatives including system integrations, data migration, data platforms, and enterprise technology implementations.

• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

• Drive stakeholder communication and provide regular status updates to executive management.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering enterprise -scale technology initiatives.

• Strong experience within the retail industry is essential.

• Proven experience leading large -scale retail IT systems implementations.

• Strong experience in technical and data -focused projects and environments.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across complex business environments.

• Experience managing enterprise application implementations, system integrations, and transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of technical environments, data ecosystems, and enterprise platforms.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Strong problem -solving and decision -making capabilities.

• Ability to operate effectively in fast -paced and dynamic environments.

• Strong governance, risk, and delivery management experience.

• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields.

• Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent would be advantageous.
