Company Description

Come and join this dedicated team as a Senior Specialist International Contracts. The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate and provide advice, expertise and lead support for Domestic and Global Mobility practices, processes, compliance and systems to the Platinum Business.  The role will further support Marketing P&O services and management of the relationship with related service providers.

Anglo American Platinum Limited (AAP), currently a subsidiary of Anglo American plc and listed on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE), is a leading primary producer of platinum group metals with mining, smelting and refining operations that are located in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Overseer consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities. 

  • Managing mobility aspects of employee assignments (physical and virtual), permanent transfers and international remote working requests for the business for example right to work (work permitting and visa), immigration and expatriate tax (where applicable) requirements
  • Work in alignment with the policies, processes, systems and service providers to embed high quality Domestic & Global Mobility practices.
  • Building an understanding of the Domestic and Global Mobility market and best practices as relates to mobility activities, processes and technology platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with required legislative entities and maintain working knowledge of the legislative landscape to ensure compliance.
  • Educating relevant internal stakeholders on key mobility policies and processes.
  • Contributing to the development of the budget for Domestic and Global Mobility employees.  Identify, develop and implement opportunities for improvement related to improved processes that will deliver higher efficiency, effectiveness and cost saving.
  • Collaborate with P&O partners on related initiatives and projects, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management, Finance or related field.
  • Post Graduate Degree Human Resources management or Labour Law or Finance management (Desirable).

Experience

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • 3-5 Human Resource/ Finance experience

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • HR/Finance generalist experience essential
  • Sound knowledge on labour, tax and immigration legislation
  • Experience in Global mobility within the mining/construction environment would be advantageous
  • Computer literate for role including SAP HR/SuccessFactors or similar ERP systems
  • Valid drivers license
