Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef for a luxury private game reserve based in Hoedspruit. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with strong 4-star experience who is ready to take the next step into a 5-star luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen.
  


• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with luxury hospitality standards.
  


• Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  


• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency.
  


• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are upheld.
  


• Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
  


• Contribute to menu development and guest dining experiences.
  


• Ensure smooth kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie within a 4-star property.
  


• Ready to progress into a 5-star luxury lodge environment.
  


• Formal culinary qualification.
  


• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  


• Passion for fine food and exceptional guest experiences.
  


• Excellent attention to detail.
  


• Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment.
  


• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  

Package

• Salary of R25,000 per month.
