Key responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef with the daily management and operation of the kitchen.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Supervise and support the kitchen team during service.
Assist with menu planning, food preparation and daily kitchen organisation.
Maintain consistent food quality, portion control and presentation.
Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety are maintained.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
Assist with managing kitchen costs and minimising wastage.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during busy service periods.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior Chef position within a luxury hospitality environment.
Relevant culinary qualifications will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation and kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Professional approach with a strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
