Role Overview
This role is focused on growing sports travel opportunities within the corporate market. The successful candidate will prospect new corporate clients, build strong relationships, prepare proposals and presentations, research travel components and support conversion of business opportunities. This position suits someone with a mature client -facing approach, strong commercial confidence and the ability to represent a specialist travel brand professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and call on new corporate clients consistently to develop new business opportunities.
Build and retain relationships with new and existing corporate clients, fixture providers and associated partners.
Generate leads, maintain regular follow -up and update forecasting reports with current and future business opportunities.
Prepare or support proposals, presentations and client information packs for corporate sports travel opportunities.
Research hotels, flights, transport, fixtures, training facilities and other proposal components.
Assist with supplier liaison to obtain accurate quotes and information required for proposals.
Maintain a structured system for recording proposals submitted, won, rejected or pending.
Attend presentations, client functions, trade shows and events on behalf of the business when required.
Support CRM events, newsletters, database updates and marketing exposure initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with preferred suppliers and ensure best available rates are secured.
Assist with international marketing activity, overseas sales trips or group travel when required.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports relating to sales activity, proposals, leads and performance.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 is required.
A proven sales track record dealing with corporate clients is required.
Experience in incentives, sports travel, group travel, corporate travel or tourism sales is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are required.
Strong presentation, negotiation, research and proposal -writing ability is essential.
Must have a mature and professional approach when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
Strong planning, organisation, analytical thinking and decision -making skills are required.
Must be able to handle controversial or emotional issues objectively and tactfully.
Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, are required.
Project management and relationship management skills will be advantageous.
