Stock and Support Coordinator

Jem is hiring a Stock and Support Coordinator to own the Jem Mobile stock cycle end to end and get devices into customers' hands.

Jem is a fast-growing HR tech scale-up building payroll, HR and benefits tools for frontline teams. We currently support just over 250,000 frontline employees across South Africa.

This role sits inside Jem Mobile. Intake, system capture, dispatch, returns, sales activation and support all run through one person: you. It's hands-on work on the warehouse floor and out on site, not desk-only, and not stock-only. You'll double up into sales and service as needed.This suits someone who wants full ownership of a real operational function from day one.

⭐️ Your Mission

• Own the full Jem Mobile stock cycle: intake, capture, dispatch, returns and reverse logistics


• Keep every stock movement accurate and accounted for, from IMEI to invoice


• Show up on site as an extension of sales and service, not just as stock support
  
  

⭐️ What Success Looks Like

• 100% of orders dispatched the same day, every day


• Zero unexplained stock discrepancies across monthly full counts and daily spot counts


• Returns cleared daily with no carry-over, every return graded and IMEI recorded


• Fully signed courier manifests uploaded same-day, with no gaps


• An end-of-day update sent after every site visit: numbers, handovers, declines, blockers
  
  

⭐️ What You'll Do

Stock (end-to-end)

• Run pick, pack and dispatch daily so 100% of orders go out the same day


• Receive and verify new stock against invoice


• Flag discrepancies immediately and capture stock in the system the same day it arrives


• Handle reverse logistics and reporting for supplier claims


• Run the stock take: monthly full counts and daily spot counts, targeting zero unexplained discrepancies


• Track stock levels against forecast, flag low stock and place re-orders so no SKU runs dry

Returns, replacements and claims

• Grade every return (A: sellable, B: refurb, C: warranty/repair), record grade and IMEI, and keep grades physically separated


• Clear returns daily with no carry-over


• Process replacements daily and own out-of-box failure and warranty claims end to end

Dispatch partners and courier handover

• Match the physical package count to the Pargo manifest before anything leaves


• Sign on behalf of Jem Mobile and hand to the courier to sign


• Upload fully signed manifests same-day


• Work closely with warehousing and dispatch partners to hold them to SLA, and escalate misses with evidence

Activation support

• Provide on-site presence, put up marketing collateral, handle support queries and support sales and contract origination


• Send an end-of-day update after every visit covering numbers, handovers, declines and blockers

Customer service support

• Participate in daily CS cadence for stock-related queries

• Are organised and detail-oriented: this role lives or dies on IMEIs, counts and manifests


• Learn quickly and pick up new systems fast (Lovable, Google Sheets, Pargo, the Jem Mobile sales flow)


• Have demonstrated accuracy in operational or logistics work, even if it wasn't in a formal job


• Are honest about problems early rather than letting a discrepancy sit


• Treat the stock as if the money were your own


• Are comfortable moving between warehouse floor, site visits and system capture in the same day


• Are based in or willing to relocate to Johannesburg
  
  

⭐️ Requirements

Minimum:

• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in operational, logistics or admin-heavy work


• Comfortable learning new systems and tools quickly


• Based in or relocating to Johannesburg, available to work in office five days a week

Nice to have:

• Exposure to retail, telco, logistics or a fast-moving ops environment


• An additional South African language (isiZulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans, isiXhosa)


• A valid driver's licence for activation travel
