Job Description - Stock Controller

Position: Stock Controller Company Overview: Msuez Uk is a leading provider of high-quality industrial and commercial products in the United Kingdom. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and value to our clients through our extensive range of products and services. Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring the company's inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, and implementing efficient stock management procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to meet customer demands and minimize stock shortages - Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy of stock records and identify discrepancies - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and resolve any delivery issues - Implement and maintain efficient stock management procedures, including stock rotation and storage - Collaborate with the sales team to forecast future stock needs and place orders accordingly - Keep track of stock movements and update stock records in the company's inventory system - Conduct regular stock checks to identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate action - Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures - Train and supervise stockroom staff to ensure proper handling and storage of stock - Prepare and present regular stock reports to management, highlighting any issues or concerns - Maintain a clean and organized stockroom to facilitate efficient stock management and retrieval. Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years experience in stock control or inventory management - Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Attention to detail and accuracy - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects. Working Conditions: This is a full-time position, with working hours from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The Stock Controller may be required to work occasional overtime during busy periods. The role is primarily based in our warehouse, with occasional travel to supplier locations.
