Job Description - Strategic Sales Lead

Strategic Sales Lead (Junior to Senior) 


About the Client:

We design and build SMART spaces, specializing in:

  • Architecture & Interior Design
  • End-to-End Construction & Fit-Out
  • Building Compliance (Occupation Certificates)

We craft spaces that reflect a brands identity, culture, and workflowbalancing stunning design with practical compliance, landlord regulations, and Cape Towns building standards. By analyzing client interactions, movement, and business needs, they create optimized, beautiful environments tailored to each brand.

Purpose: To secure high-value turnkey interior architecture projects by positioning Vortex as a premium, end-to-end design and execution partner. This person converts prospects into signed contracts while safeguarding project viability and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive outbound and inbound B2B client acquisition
  • Position our 7-stage model to landlords, corporates, and procurement professionals
  • Lead all client communications from initial engagement to contract signature
  • Draft commercial proposals and ensure clear client briefing into Stage 01
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and forecast monthly/quarterly pipelines
  • Follow up post-project for testimonials and referrals

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in sales for design/construction/property sectors
  • Excellent proposal writing and client-facing presentation skills
  • Proven R5M+/quarter pipeline management
  • Tech-savvy with CRM systems like Pipedrive, Monday.com or similar

Qualifications and Professional Bodies:

  • Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business
  • Member of MASA or certified by IMM Graduate School

Salary (Monthly, ZAR):

Junior: R15,000 - R20,000

Mid-Level: R25,000 - R30,000 + commission

Senior: R35,000 - R50,000 + commission
