Job Description
This role is accountable for the development and implementation of parts of the procurement strategy, and the execution of tactical business plans at an operational level, through other managers and their teams, over periods of 3 months to 1 year.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Create a Supplier Relationship Management “SRM” capability within procurement by:
Embedding the SRM framework and methodology
Developing and agreeing minimum standards and processes, aligned to the SRM objectives for the organization
Creating a knowledge management tool set, templates and guides to enable effective implementation
Establish and manage a fit-for-purpose business partnering model to support procurement transformation across the organization
Target commercial benefits through the supplier relationship management methodology of contract management and continuous optimisation
Ensure procurement SOP’s, minimum standards are updated, are aligned to procurement policy and reflect best practices. Enact change management as required for procurement and supported business areas.
Support procurement policy reviews, continuous improvement and effective implementation across supported business areas.
Leadership and Direction: Communicate action plans and motivate people to achieve business goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Identify stakeholders, understand their needs, and respond to support business decisions.
Budgeting: Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues.
Performance Management: Set objectives, manage performance, and take corrective action where required.
Organisational Capability Building: Identify development needs and implement capability-building actions, including coaching and training.
The Recruitment Process:
TA Interview: This will be a discussion with our Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to give you an understanding of our business, our culture & values and more context on the role. It will also allow us the opportunity to get to know you more and ensure OMI can meet your career aspirations.
Panel Interview: This will be with 2 members of the Senior Leadership of the Hiring Team and 1 member of the HC Leadership Team.
Technical & Psychometric Assessments: These will depend on the role and will sometimes happen concurrently with Vetting through an external service provider & Internal Verification.
