Job Summary**

Magnum ICC SA (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain & Direct Procurement Lead to manage and optimize our direct procurement processes and overall supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services essential to our core business.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement strategic direct procurement plans aligned with company objectives and budget.
* Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of new suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
* Manage existing supplier relationships, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring compliance with contracts and quality standards.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation within the direct procurement function.
* Oversee inventory management for direct materials, ensuring optimal stock levels to support production and minimize waste.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, finance, quality assurance) to forecast demand, resolve supply chain issues, and ensure seamless material flow.
* Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and supplier capabilities to inform procurement strategies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical sourcing practices.
* Manage and mentor a small team or individuals within the procurement function, if applicable.
* Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supply chain health to senior management.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management and direct procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial context.
* Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
* Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain principles, and inventory management techniques.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing cross-functional projects.
* Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, CPIM) is highly desirable.
