Support Engineer (SQL / Linux / Oracle Apex)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day -to -day application and system support
  

• Analyse, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and system issues
  

• Take ownership of incidents and see them through to resolution
  

• Perform preventative and routine system maintenance
  

• Monitor systems and processes and identify gaps in monitoring
  

• Escalate unresolved issues according to defined procedures
  

• Maintain accurate incident records, reports, and knowledge base updates
  

• Participate in standby/on -call support and production deployments
  

• Assist with deployments of new services and system enhancements
  

• Support root cause analysis and continuous service improvement
  

• Mentor and assist junior support engineers
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL skills (PL/SQL advantageous)
  

• Solid Linux experience
  

• Experience using PL/SQL to retrieve data from Oracle databases
  

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  

• Knowledge of system monitoring and alerting processes
  

• Strong troubleshooting, problem -solving, and analytical skills
