Job Description - Technical Broker Commercial & Personal Insurance

Our client in the Insurance industry is currently looking for a Technical Broker – Commercial & Personal Insurance, in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities:

Handle end-to-end underwriting and policy administration for both personal and commercial lines.

Assist clients with policy renewals, endorsements, and quotations.

Provide technical support and advice to clients on suitable insurance coverage.

Ensure compliance with FAIS, RE5, and industry regulations.

Liaise with underwriters and insurers to negotiate terms and resolve queries.

Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of policy documentation.

Requirements:

RE5 Certificate – compulsory.

Class of Business (COB) – for both Commercial and Personal Lines – compulsory

FAIS Compliant – compulsory.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Technical Broker role (personal & commercial lines)

Sound knowledge of underwriting processes and policy wording.

Excellent communication, administrative, and client service skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Advantageous:

Experience with insurance systems (e.g., Tial, Santam, or similar)

Relevant insurance qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4 in Short-Term Insurance)

Remuneration:

R30 000 – R35 000 per month.
