Technical Sales Rep

Southern Africas provider of roofing systems, is looking for an External Sales Representative to effectively provide an outstanding service to all their retail clients.
Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and efficient technical assistance to in-house departments and to provide an outstanding service to all clients through generation of accurate technical opinion, measurement (where applicable), with the ultimate aim of achieving company profitability & objectives
a. Supervision
b. Site inspections
c. In-house measurements
d. Technical expertise
e. Technical training
f. Submit Claims & warranty applications
Main Responsibilities:
a. Contributing to the development of the technical strategy and plans
b. Managing and efficient supervision of the technical department
c. Managing, maintaining and exceeding drawing register due dates
d. Attending to technical sales enquiries
e. Site visits, final inspections for guarantee occupational certificate inspections trouble shooting inspections
f. Attending to in-house measurement requests
g. Providing an effective technical service to the external marketing arm
h. Managing & controlling the progress of drawing enquiries through to a successful generation of roofing layouts as required.
i. Providing assistance to sales and production departments in respect of all technical areas
j. Gathering and sharing of market intelligence with all stakeholders
k. Communicating and assistance in resolving customer complaints
l. Administering of technical training and advice to all stakeholders
m. Attendance in and participation of stock takes, conference attendance and training sessions

• Matric & Related qualifications
• Advantage - Degree level qualification

Experience required: 5 YEARS IN TECHNICAL/Construction/Roofing/Steel OR RELATED industries
