Our client is an expert in electrical power and advanced materials, they are looking for a Technical Sales Rep with sound mechanical and electrical knowledge to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the existing client base as well as identifying new customers to grow their market share.
The ideal candidate must have experience in the electrical/mechanical components industry with strong client relationship skills, excellent sales techniques and the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Technical Qualification equal to an N6/N7 is an advantage
A Matric Certificate (Grade 12) is required
Minimum of 6 years experience in a sales environment
Must be able to read technical drawings
Minimum of 3 years experience in the Electrical / Mechanical components Industry
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, build relationships and recommend products and services.
Generating proposals and quotations, and processing orders.
Follow up on sales enquiries
Identifying new markets
Liaison with the different internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of the customers’ orders
Gathering of market and competitor activities and information to assist in establishing market trends and developments
Ensure on-time payment from customers
Complete technical surveys
