Technician

We are seeking a Junior IT Help Desk Technician to join our growing IT support team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build their career in IT support. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support to end users, assist with Microsoft and Office 365 applications, basic network troubleshooting, VPN connectivity, internet issues, and remote user support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to users via phone, email, remote access, and on-site assistance.
  
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  
• Provide support for Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and printer-related issues.
  
• Assist users with VPN and remote access connectivity.
  
• Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues.
  
• Configure and support user accounts and passwords.
  
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians when required.
  
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
  
• Deliver professional and customer-focused IT support services.
  

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
  
• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or Networking.
  
• CompTIA A+, N+, or Microsoft certifications will be advantageous.
  

Experience

• Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Exposure to basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with remote support tools will be advantageous.
