Job Description - Technologist - EBM

The Technologist reports to the Technical Manager. The purpose of this position is to guarantee production continuity and product conformity by ensuring process stability in compliance with health and safety rules and regulations and in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Sets product recipes ensuring necessary regulations and plc parameters are in place, makes necessary mechanical and electronic adjustments, controls production variables to ensure product specifications are met
Actively supports in investigating, troubleshooting and resolving quality issues
Ensures process stability during production and acts timely to address any deviation
Supports and trains production staff to help them solve minor technical problems affecting the quality of the bottle
Carries out the electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment (compressors, air conditioning, driers, leak test, cameras, palletizers, etc.)
Finds solutions by fabricating mechanical or other parts to address production or technical issues and to improve machine performance
Supports the Technical Manager in improvement projects and decisions on machines, equipment, molds and processes

Technical Skills:

Excellent knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM)
Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronic systems
Good applied knowledge of measuring instruments and techniques
Good applied knowledge of WCM standards
Basic knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment rules and practices
Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts

Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience working with industry specific technologies and productive processes
