About Our Client

Our client is a UK-based market research fieldwork and data collection specialist, with over 30 years’ experience delivering research projects for agencies, brands, and public sector organisations.  They find the right respondents, collect high-quality data, and support research delivery end-to-end.  They focus on data collection (fieldwork) – the operational engine behind research.  They are industry-agnostic, bur research specialist and specialise in complex, high-quality, often large-scale fieldwork projects.



Purpose of Role



Every project is different so whilst it’s the same job, you are guaranteed to build your skills & confidence in:

• Communication – approaching strangers on the phone will build your confidence levels!


• General knowledge – the topics you end up talking about mean you learnt a lot about everything from insurance & banking to farming or power tools!


• Teamwork – you build friendships working in project groups and towards overall deadlines

• Conduct structured telephone interviews with members of the public and business professionals to gather research data across a range of industries and topics


• Follow scripted questionnaires while maintaining a natural, engaging, and professional conversation style


• Accurately capture responses and input data into internal systems in real-time


• Ensure all interviews are conducted in line with project guidelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements


• Build rapport quickly with respondents to encourage participation and completion of surveys


• Meet and exceed daily and weekly productivity targets, including surveys completed per hour


• Maintain high levels of data accuracy and attention to detail throughout all interactions


• Handle objections professionally and confidently, encouraging participation where appropriate


• Participate in project briefings, training sessions, and team meetings to stay aligned on campaign objectives


• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve overall project deadlines and targets


• Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

• To be a telephone interviewer you need to have the following criteria:


• Professional telephone manner


• Extremely reliable – being unreliable is very detrimental to our business model. We operate the Bradford Factor attendance management system to ensure fairness and consistency.


• Computer literate with the ability to type accurately.


• Target driven – targets are in place to measure and compare your productivity.

• Your performance of average number of surveys completed per hour


• Your interviewing quality


• Attendance & general behaviours
