Job Description - Temp FOH / Relief Manager

Temp Front of House / Relief Manager (Maternity Cover) | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and professional Temp Front of House / Relief Manager for a luxury safari lodge situated in the Greater Kruger region.

This fixed-term maternity cover position is ideally suited to a confident, well-presented hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury lodge operations and guest relations. The successful candidate will support the Front of House department while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

â¢ Work closely with the Relief Manager to ensure smooth Front of House operations

â¢ Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures

â¢ Conduct guest orientations and lodge briefings

â¢ Perform room inspections to ensure exceptional standards are maintained

â¢ Host guests and provide personalised service throughout their stay

â¢ Carry out reception and administrative duties

â¢ Assist with daily and month-end financial administration

â¢ Support invoicing, stocktaking and delivery management processes

â¢ Provide operational support across departments when required

â¢ Relieve the Relief Manager during scheduled leave periods

Requirements

â¢ Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Front of House or guest-facing hospitality role

â¢ Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge environment is essential

â¢ 5-star lodge experience preferred

â¢ Strong knowledge of hospitality booking systems, finance systems and POS platforms

â¢ Matric / Grade 12 qualification

â¢ Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous

â¢ Valid driver's licence

â¢ Clear criminal record

â¢ South African citizen

â¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

â¢ Professional appearance and confident guest interaction abilities

â¢ Strong organisational and administrative skills

â¢ Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Package

â¢ Salary: R16,000 per month

â¢ Live-in position

â¢ Meals provided whilst on duty

â¢ Uniform provided

â¢ Accommodation included

â¢ Work cycle: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off

â¢ Contract duration: 5 months

â¢ Start date: July 2026

â¢ Location: Greater Kruger
