We are seeking an experienced and
driven Sales Representative to promote a premium Spine Portfolio across
Johannesburg and surrounding regions. This role requires a strong technical
understanding of spinal implants, excellent theatre -based sales ability, and
the capacity to manage clinical relationships at a senior level.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales & Business Development
· Achieve sales targets and increase market share
within the Spine portfolio.
· Identify, develop, and convert new business
opportunities across private and government hospitals.
· Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and
in‑service
training sessions with clinical staff.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with
orthopaedic and neurosurgeons, theatre managers, and procurement teams.
2. Theatre Support & Clinical Expertise
· Provide full operating theatre support for
spinal procedures, including technical guidance during surgeries.
· Deliver in -theatre product training, ensuring
surgical teams are proficient in implant usage, instrumentation handling, and
procedural workflow.
· Offer ongoing clinical education to support
adoption and correct utilisation of products.
3. Manage all loan
sets for the Spine portfolio, ensuring:
4. Consignment Stock Management
· Oversee and monitor consignment stock levels at
hospitals.
· Ensure accurate cycle counts, documentation, and
stock rotation.
· Prevent stock expiry through proactive planning
and regular audits.
· Promptly address stock discrepancies and
communicate needs to supply chain teams.
5. Territory & Administrative Management
· Maintain accurate CRM records, including call
cycles, sales reports, and case tracking.
· Analyse competitor activity and market trends to
guide strategic decisions.
· Manage budgets, forecasts, and territory plans
to meet or exceed KPIs.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations,
ethical guidelines, and company policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· 3–5 years’ medical device sales experience,
ideally within spine, trauma, orthopaedics, or theatre‑based
specialties.
· Proven experience working inside operating
theatres with surgeons and theatre teams.
· Strong technical and clinical aptitude.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and
presentation skills.
· Valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel
within Gauteng.
