Test Engineer

Sportable is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Test Engineer to join our growing team. This role is pivotal to ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge sports technology products. The successful candidate will play a key role in our product development lifecycle, from concept to market release. Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• 3+ years of experience in testing complex electronics systems, including software, hardware and firmware. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for our electronics systems, including hardware, firmware, and software. 

• Conduct both manual and automated testing to validate product functionality and performance against specifications and design requirements. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to identify and isolate issues, provide detailed bug reports, and assist in their resolution. 

• Perform system-level testing, integration testing, and validation testing to ensure the robustness of our products. 

• Test both in the office / on the bench and around sports pitches 

• Participate in the design and implementation of automated test frameworks and scripts to streamline testing processes. 

• Monitor and maintain test equipment and resources to ensure their readiness for testing activities. 

• Document and maintain test procedures, test cases, and test reports. 

• Work with the product development team to ensure that quality standards are met 

• Continuously stay updated on industry best practices and emerging testing technologies to improve our testing methodologies. 

Skills and Personal qualities: 

• Experience with test automation tools and knowledge of python for scripting and data analysis 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. 

• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols and RF testing is a plus. 

• Passion for sports and an understanding of sports technology is a significant advantage.
