TRAINEE RETAIL MANAGER - QUEENSTOWN

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Trainee Retail Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for retail, a strong customer service mindset, and a desire to grow into a leadership role. You will be trained across all aspects of store operations, from stock control to team supervision, ensuring excellent service and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including staff supervision and shift planning

• Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries/complaints efficiently

• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory

• Support merchandising, promotional displays, and store layout according to brand standards

• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed

• Analyze sales reports and contribute ideas to improve store performance

• Work closely with senior managers to learn retail management skills

• Participate in regular training and development programs

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 (further qualifications in Retail Management or Business are an advantage)

• 12 years of retail or customer service experience (preferred)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced retail environment

• Availability to work retail hours (weekends, holidays, and shifts)

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
