Trainee Technician

Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 2 x Trainee Technicians

The main purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the production team to ensure safe, reliable and available trains as per customer requirements, primarily through preventative maintenance and repairs.

These roles will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg. 

YOUR ROLE:

• Ensure compliance to safety and quality rules and regulations at all times


• Assist with Preventative Maintenance


• Assist with Corrective Maintenance when required


• Basic MAXIMO administration


• Correct use of Materials, tools and equipment


• Effective team-work and self-management


• Could work shifts which include weekends, night work, overtime and public holidays.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12.


• S4 or N6 National Certificate excluding P1 & P2


• Rail/ Production experience will be an advantage.


• Fit and robust.


• South African citizen


• Ability to see in colour


• Ability to work at heights


• Good hearing (exposure to noise)
