Job Description - Training Director






Overview






The Global Training Director will define and lead the global Learning & Development (L&D) strategy for BFSI processes across multiple geographies and delivery centers. This role ensures standardization, scalability, and innovation in training design, delivery, and governance. The position requires strong expertise in BFSI domain processes, leadership development, and digital learning technologies to enable operational excellence and client satisfaction. 









Qualifications






  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, HR, Education, or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role. 
  • Proven experience in BFSI processes within a BPO environment. 
  • Strong background in curriculum design, instructional methodologies, and digital learning technologies. 
  • Experience managing large-scale training programs and global teams. 








Responsibilities






  • Strategic Leadership: 
  • Set the global L&D strategy and framework, driving standardization and best practices across regions. 
  • Align training programs with business priorities, client requirements, and future skill needs. 
  • Training Design & Delivery: 
  • Develop curriculum and materials for technical (BFSI processes, compliance) and non-technical areas (soft skills, leadership). 
  • Oversee vendor management and manage global partnerships for content development and delivery. 
  • Governance & Compliance: 
  • Ensure adherence to global regulatory standards, client compliance requirements, and regional labor laws. 
  • Establish policies, processes, and standards for global training operations. 
  • Innovation & Technology Enablement: 
  • Build and mature the L&D Centre of Excellence, leveraging digital platforms, LMS, and emerging technologies. 
  • Implement Learning-as-a-Service (L&DaaS) for scalable, technology-enabled solutions. 
  • Performance & Analytics: 
  • Drive data-driven learning decisions through analytics and insights to improve training effectiveness and ROI. 
  • Monitor speed-to-competency and conduct benchmarking against global best practices. 
  • Global Stakeholder Management: 
  • Partner with operations, quality, and client leadership to align talent development with organizational growth. 
  • Lead cross-cultural teams and foster collaboration across regions. 
  • Talent Development: 
  • Build global leadership pipelines and succession planning through structured development programs. 
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to internal teams and specialists. 
  • Risk & Change Management: 
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to training delivery and compliance. 
  • Lead global change initiatives for learning transformation and digital adoption.
