Our client is a food manufacturing operation based in Malmesbury with a busy finished goods warehouse and dispatch environment. The business requires a hands -on warehouse leader who can maintain stock accuracy, manage people, control dispatch flow and uphold food safety and SHEQ standards.
Role Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the correct storing, picking, movement, loading and stock take of finished goods according to company procedures. This role requires strong stock control, warehouse floor visibility, documentation accuracy and the ability to manage operational pressure in a food manufacturing dispatch environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain inventory accuracy through weekly cycle counts, monthly stock takes and variance investigations.
Ensure stock accuracy targets are maintained across warehouse locations.
Coordinate inventory transfers using approved documentation and FIFO principles.
Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and report unidentified or untagged stock immediately.
Monitor slow -moving, excess, rejected, expired and obsolete stock and report weekly.
Ensure returns are processed daily, removed from the warehouse floor quickly and documented correctly.
Check stock received against purchase orders, supplier invoices, customer orders and picking documentation.
Ensure GRVs are processed accurately and submitted for approval within required timelines.
Supervise loading, unloading, picking, dispatch and distribution activities to achieve customer satisfaction.
Ensure vehicles and trucks meet turnaround time and delivery slot requirements.
Maintain warehouse layout, storage design, housekeeping, crate wash and clean -as -you -go standards.
Supervise forklifts, reach trucks and operators to ensure safe and compliant equipment use.
Measure, monitor and report staff productivity, performance and operational irregularities.
Maintain approximately 90 percent operational floor presence and 10 percent administrative activity.
Requirements
Grade 12 is required.
Diploma in Warehousing is preferred.
3 to 5 years warehouse control and food experience is required.
2 to 3 years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
MS Office proficiency is required.
Strong inventory, stock control, FIFO, dispatch and warehouse documentation experience is essential.
Accuracy, computer literacy, English literacy and yield understanding are important competencies.
Must be able to manage people, deadlines, warehouse pressure and physical floor activity.
Must be able to commute reliably to Malmesbury or relocate at own cost.
