Warehouse Supervisor Permanent

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing warehouse activities, maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting efficient day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Matric

• Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (NQF 5 preferred)

• 6–8 years experience in warehouse supervision or warehouse management

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure stock is handled correctly

• Manage stock levels and ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO)

• Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts

• Perform monthly stock counts and ensure all stock is accurately reconciled

• Maintain adequate levels of small parts and packing materials

• Compile and manage exception reports, including claims and stock rotations

• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in the warehouse

• Log, investigate, and resolve customer complaints related to warehouse operations

• Monitor stock levels at satellite locations and conduct stock counts when required

People Management

• Supervise and support warehouse staff

• Identify training needs and assist with staff development

• Address performance concerns and implement improvement plans where necessary

• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

Skills and Knowledge

• Good computer skills, including MS Office and ERP systems

• Solid understanding of stock control principles such as FIFO, cycle counts, and reconciliations

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Ability to organise, plan, and prioritise work effectively

• Willingness to travel to other sites if required
