About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Water Pump Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and servicing of water pumps and pumping systems. The role will also include preventative maintenance and repairs on steel roller shutter doors to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair water pumps and pumping systems.
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and steel roller shutter doors.
  
• Attend maintenance call-outs and emergency breakdowns.
  
• Replace faulty components and test equipment after repairs.
  
• Maintain service records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  
• Provide technical support and maintain professional customer relationships.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
  
• Relevant technical qualification or trade certificate advantageous.
  
• Proven experience with water pump installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  
• Mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
  
• Experience with roller shutter doors advantageous.
  
• Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  
• Valid driver's licence.
  
• Ability to work independently and attend after-hours call-outs when required.
