Weekend Barista

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a barista in a high-volume environment
  

• Advanced knowledge of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and latte art
  

• Strong understanding of coffee bean origins, roasting profiles, and flavour notes
  

• Experience training or mentoring junior staff
  

• Reliable transport to and from Klapmuts (essential)
  

• Strong leadership and communication skills
  

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  

• Sharp attention to detail and consistency
  

• Work on Friday's to Sunday's
  

• A warm, guest-focused attitude
  

Advantageous (but not essential):

• Barista certification (e.g. SCA, CQI, or similar)
  

• Experience in a luxury hospitality or wine farm setting
  

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  

• Experience with stock management and ordering systems

• Develop and refine coffee recipes and seasonal specials
  

• Ensure the coffee station meets hygiene and presentation standards at all times
  

• Provide exceptional guest service — engaging with guests, handling queries, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
  

• Assist with Food &Beverage operations during peak times as needed
