We’re looking for a strategic Business Unit Director (BUD) to lead a key client portfolio at a fast-paced agency based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with strong experience in client service, team management, and integrated marketing strategy. This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone who thrives in a high-performance environment and is ready to hit the ground running.
Lead and grow a dedicated client portfolio, ensuring strategic direction and high-quality delivery.
Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team across accounts, strategy, and creative.
Drive profitability and operational excellence within the business unit.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in a client leadership role within an agency environment.
Proven track record managing large accounts and leading teams.
Strong understanding of marketing, digital, ATL, and TTL campaign execution.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work on-site in Johannesburg full-time.
